Lightning Boat Grant Program
The International Lightning Class has just announced the recipients of the prestigious 2009 Boat Grants. This ground breaking program is in it's third year of existence and has recieved nothing but rave reviews. We're looking forward to another successful summer sailing season, particularly in the Central New York District. The future of the district is looking bright!

Early Bird Regatta
Lightning Boat Grant Program
Me and my team have just finished our first Lightning regatta with our grant boat. It is Nickels hull number 15189 and is in great condition. We have already been given a set of used North sails, 3 spins, and a slightly used Vermont Sailing Partners jib. We are also set to receive a new set of Quantum sails for big regattas. So far, Bill Fastiggi has shown us how to rig the boat up in Vermont, and Brian Hayes from North Sails helped us out when we arrived for the Early Bird at Cedar Point Yacht Club with tuning and rig set up on the water.
