On the Water Sail Trim
Proper sail trim is a tough thing to master. Greg Fisher of North Sails is one of the few sailors who has truly mastered this art. This mastery has led Greg to major championships in more classes of boats than most people will ever get to sail in. One of these classes where Greg has firmly established himself is the Thistle Class. He shot a great video at the 2007 Thistle Midwinters, and in it, provides some great on-the-water commenting on some really well sailed boats.
If your curious about how to set up your mast bend or trim your vang, cunningham, or outhaul, this video will help. If you want to see what proper sheet tension looks like, watch this video. If you want to gain some insight into how flat to sail your boat or how to steer your boat, once agian, this video touches on all of this. Before you start watching, I'll warn you that it's about half an hour long, so set aside some time, or watch it in chunks.

Hopefully after watching this you've gained some knowledge and will think about a few more things the next time you set sail. I know I have and will.
