2007 Lightning North American Championships

August 15-17, 2007 - Bob King, Billy Healy, and Will Morang finished the 2007 Lightning North American Championships in 18th place. This was a very successful regatta for the team and a nice exclamation point to bring to a close a very successful summer season. Conditions were tough in Annapolis with a wide range of winds, colder than usual temperatures, and rain for a good portion of the week. This very competitive event was won by Geoff Becker, Alan Terhune finished second, and Central New York Sailor Jed Dodge, with Bill Dodge, and Sarah Costich aboard finished the regatta in third place. Bob’s fellow boat grant recipient, Bobby Martin, finished 4th in the Presidents cup, with Lightning Class President Steve Davis winning that fleet.
