The Central New York Lightning District returns to Chaumont, NY for the 2009 District Championship. This should be a well attended event, as this will serve as the CNY qualifying regatta for the 2009 North Americans at Sodus Bay Yacht Club. Chaumont Bay offers up some of the best winds on all of Lake Ontario with their predictable thermal breeze. This will certainly be a good practice regatta for the upcoming North Americans.

This is the second Central New York District Lightning Regatta of the season, and usually one of the most well attended.

Is great we usally get 15 to 20 boats to come. Last year it was a blast, mainly because the caz juniors took 1-2 in the junior category and also a second overall.

Temple Reef Sailing Club is proud to be hosting this years Lightning Canadian Open Championships in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
